It was a wonderful day one summer morning on the Grecian peninsula. I had eggs and toast with my friends, while we discussed politics and my taste in hip-hop music, obviously I prefer the Metal-Faced Terrorist MF.
I got up from the table and stared out blankly into the ocean when my friend Stargate told me that I was going to be late for the match.
"Match? What match?" I pondered, "I never signed up for a match."
SheepyFano whispered into my ear, "Churl, we have a match."
I stood there pondering why ducks so often travel in even numbers, at least, I seem to notice that. Mostly due to my disdain for even numbers and that I am actually partial to odd ones. I guess that makes me a fan of odd ducks.
Heshinstein told me, "Churl. Are you getting on or what?"
Ducks are a very strange creature indeed. I've heard many stories about the hellical shapes of their penii. Is it odd that chickens don't have them either? That's kind of funny if you think about the word usage.
GreedyChris sternly yelled "CHURL. DUDE. I WANT TO GO TO SLEEP. GET THE HELL ONLINE SO WE CAN HAVE THIS MATCH"
Christopher always reminds me of another friend of mine. He loved salads, tossing them. This recipe for waldorf salad reminds me of him and the days we'd just walk down the beach without shoes on and carrying on jovially.
WALDORF SALAD
6 Tbsp plain Greek Yogurt
1 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
Pinch of freshly ground black pepper
2 sweet apples, cored and chopped
1 cup red seedless grapes, sliced in half (or 1/4 cup of raisins)
1 cup celery, thinly sliced
1 cup chopped, slightly toasted walnuts
Lettuce
In a medium sized bowl, whisk together the yogurt, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
Stir in the apple, celery, grapes, and walnuts.
Serve on a bed of fresh lettuce.
