BGU Meeting to Discuss Next Admin - by Nathan Hale - 27/09/2010
A BGU meeting will be held on Sunday, 10/3/10 to discuss the following:
-voting by overall clan rather than by individual team
-discussion of candidates for the second BGU admin, vote on next admin.
AP vent, 8:30 PM eastern time.
Admin Announcement - by Nathan Hale - 22/09/2010
I'm making this announcement to inform BGU players and the Council that I will be retiring from the BGU Admin position at the end of Season 2.
The Admin position is a limited executive type position and not meant to be owned or held by a single person permanently. BGL suffered from many abuses and favoritism due to the fact that admins were more or less permanent proprietors. The BGU admin must not become that.
The league has gotten off to a good start and now has 8 or 9 legitimate teams. This is a good turnout, and people are enjoying the matches. I am thankful for the strong support the clans, players and Council have given me as Admin.
I would like to consolidate what I have left of my free time into the technical side of building BG, as a Dev Team Member. I have a few people in mind who could be the next admin. The list is short, but I will present it to the Council at the next meeting.
I will work with the new admin to keep things running smoothly. If the new admin is ready prior to the end of Season 2, I'll gladly let him take over sooner. But the end of Season 2 will be the start of my retirement from BGU Admin.

News 9/20/10 - by Nathan Hale - 20/09/2010
This week we have four matches, including a Title Shot and a Title Match. This will produce the first weekly title of season 2.
Due to improper procedure, the previous vote on Copyright has been overruled. Copyright is banned, as before, per council vote.
[BGM] Ryan (formerly (S.S) Ryan) will be suspended for one week due to misconduct during Season 2 week 1. He will be suspended for the matches on 9/26/10. After this week he can play again.
Appeal of Copyright Vote Lodged - by Nathan Hale - 18/09/2010
Two teams have recently raised appeals to the Copyright vote, claiming procedural deficiencies. This, combined with the absence of at least 3 teams from the meeting have raised some issues with that vote.
SS has claimed they were never informed of the meeting, and MP has claimed that its vote was improperly recorded as "yes" when it was really "no". We'll talk about this.
A BGU meeting will be held around match time tomorrow night: 830 PM eastern. We will discuss the conduct of the first Copyright meeting, and if need be, hold a fresh vote.
The original vote is valid until overruled by any new vote that might take place.
There will also be a discussion of possible discipline for Ryan, for sabotaging matches.

Season 2, Week 2 - by Nathan Hale - 08/09/2010
We have week 2 of season 2 coming up on Sunday 9/12. We have 4 matches involving 8 teams, with 1 team-- |MM| on a bye for the week. Power rankings are up.
This is the first time in a long while a BG NA league has been up to 9 teams, with 4 matches each week. That's a big plus.
We also have several people who want a vote on the matter of Copywrite: whether Copy should be let into BGU. We have had some dissent to this, so there will need to be a vote. We usually do this by vent. We just need a quick meeting of a few minutes to talk about the Copy matter and do a single vote. There is no other business besides that. The people who want Copy in should propose a time and night for a meeting in the usual AP vent.
If a meeting is totally impossible, I'd be willing to do a vote via forum PM.
Council Members Forum Access - by Bot01 - 02/09/2010
The Council section on the forum hasn't been activated since it's creation. The idea was every team would nominate one player to be able to post to it.
So I would appreciate it if the teams would reply to this post with which team member of that team I should give access to it.
Week 1, Season 2 Schedule - by Nathan Hale - 27/08/2010
Here is the week 1, Season 2 schedule: no title shot or title match for weeks 1 through 3. These regular season ladder matches count for your record and will determine where people start on the ladder once title shot and title match start up in week 4.
SS vs OBCD

69th vs BGM
Bye: OWN
As of right now the "schedule" box on the main page is messed up. The above schedule is correct, anything else is wrong.
Council Meeting Notes 8/25/10 - by Nathan Hale - 25/08/2010
Council Meeting 8/25/10
-The 2 week wait rule does not apply between seasons. The rosters in that week after the end of one season and the start of the second is wide open-- players can move freely and new teams can enter.
-No bye week between seasons
-If the home team does not have the map on its server at the start of the match time, that team forfeits.
-The 9pm match time is unchanged. But by 9:15 the other team MUST have their 4 players present. There will be no forfeit if they're downloading the map so long as they're connected however if after 5 minutes they are not ready, forfeit.
